Descriptive Notes
 

Condition: Both hands and original attribute lost, right foot damaged, modern polychromy and modern attribute (tower) removed in restoration. Traces of original polychromy.

Photograph shows condition of statue c. 1912, with modern polychromy and modern attribute (tower) in right hand. Previously identified as Barbara of Nicomedia for modern attribute (tower). From a dealer in Cologne. Dating to c. 1350 based on comparison with wooden sculptures in Cologne, some dated through dendro-chronological analysis.
