Originally founded as a hospital for wardens, 3 prioresses, 1 clerk, and 25 leprous sisters. It became a female priory in 1343.

The house contained a prioress, 23 sisters, 2 priests and a clerk (Medieval Religious Houses in England and Wales, 233). In 1368 there were only 10 sisters. In 1511 only the prioress and 4 sisters are mentioned.
