The community was afflicted in May 1525 by the Peasants' Revolt. The convent buildings were demolished. The abbess and fourteen nuns found protection in the Heiligen-Kreuz Kloster (convent of the Holy Cross) in Miessen. The community was able to save an inheritance register along with the foundation and their legal titles.
