This community proved difficult for members of the Observant reform movement to reform. It took three attempts before the community accepted reform. In the first attempt, five Dominican sisters arrived from Pforzheim. They found that the sisters had removed everything moveable from the cloister, so that it was nearly uninhabitable. After a month, the reforming nuns left, having failed to overcome the passive resistance of the community. In 1478, the nuns of this house frustrated the efforts of the reformer Johannes Meyer. The nuns placed pans and plates on the darkened stairs to trip him up and warn of his approach. In 1480 a third reform party from Sylo succeeded.
