Description: The circular stamp features a cross-surmounted architectural setting of three gabled trefoiled arches with three standing figures. In the center is Aetheldreda of Ely, nimbed, veiled, crowned, and holding a crozier in her right hand and book in her left. She is flanked by Ecgfrith of Northumbria, crowned, holding a fleur-de-lis surmounted scepter in her right hand and Tombert of Gyrwians as a falconer, wearing a hat, with a falcon on his right wrist and his left hand raised. Above, two angels, descending from cloudy arcs of heaven, and swing censers.

Border inscription: SIGILLVM CAPITVLI ECC(E)L(ES)IE S(AN)C(T)E ETHELDREDE DE ELY.
