Description: In the center of the circular stamp, Werburga of Chester sits on a bench, holding a crozier in her right hand and book in left. She sits under the center arch of the church of Chester Abbey, surmounted by banners. She is flanked by two standing monks (one destroyed) possibly holding objects, under arches. Within the trefoil and quatrefoils are the heads of four monks (one destroyed).
Border inscription: SIGILL[VM CONVENTVS ECCL]ESIE [SA]NCTE [WERBURGE].
