Alicia was abbess of Polesworth for three decades. Partially on account of her good character and the good standing of her nuns, the abbey escaped dissolution in 1536 when Alicia was 60 yrs old. However, the abbey was eventually surrendered by Alicia in 1539 and she received a pension of £26 13s. 4d.
