This female community was founded by Rudolf, a priest from Worms and possible founder of the Penitential Order of Mary Magdalene. The convent existed as a community of the Penitential Order of Mary Magdalene (or Reuerinnen) until 1286. In 1286 the community assumed the Rule of S. Clare.

 
State Of Medieval Structure
 

The convent was never dissolved. In 1809 the convent burnt down and the nuns fled to Heiligen Kreuz (Holy Cross) convent. In 1810/11 the nuns moved to another monastery.
