Description: Caesarius of Arles giving the Rule to two nuns. Caesarius is nimbed, wearing bishop’s vestments, and extends an open book inscribed, OMNES VNIANIMIT(ER) ET CONCORDITER ...., to the draped hands of one of two nuns. The inscription along the top reads: SCS CESARIUS COMMENDANS IUS MONACHAB(IS). The scene is against a gold background within a frame decorated with foliate ornamentation.
