Jerome, Saint. [Letter to Marcella, 385] in Sancti Eusebii Hieronymi Epistulae ep.40

[Letter from Jerome to Marcella]
Comparing himself to a doctor who is hated by the patient he tries to cure and to Paul who made enemies by speaking the truth, Jerome complains about Onasus who took all his attacks on vices personally. In the letter to Marcella, Jerome addresses Onasus rhetorically and sarcastically.
